Grand Theft Auto 6 Release Date – The Reasons To Why It’s Getting Postponed

The most successful game franchise has to be Grand Theft Auto. Rockstar Games, the game’s producer has been enjoying great success from all Grand Theft Auto installments, especially from the latest one which completely changed the dynamic of the game. What makes GTA 5 stand out from the rest alongside it’s great graphics, immense map and great action is that it finally introduced more than one main characters. Seeing how successful GTA 5 and GTA 5 Online are, the game’s fans are expecting the company to release another installment but unfortunately Rockstar Games is focusing on other matters.

The reason why GTA 6’s release date was pushed back is because Rockstar Games is working on developing Red Dead Redemption 2 which is set to launch in the first quarter of 2017. The reason why Rockstar Games is keeping their attention focused on RDD2 is because the game is surrounded by hype and fans have very high expectations from it and the developers need to deliver.

Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t the only thing that’s keeping Rockstar Games away from developing another GTA installment. Right now, GTA 5 Online is actually the game that receives all of Rockstar’s attention. The GTA 5 Online community is really large having millions of active users spread worldwide and to keep players interested in their game, Rockstar is releasing major updates almost every month. In fact, the company has confirmed a major patch for December that will include exciting new game features.

Because the developing company is busy developing other games, Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to come around 2020. Nonetheless, the waiting will be worth it since the game is rumored to come with VR functionalities and a complete new map. Regarding the map, rumor has it that GTA 6 will take place in a foreign country, which is something different from what we’re used to.
